  OCCUPATION: Television Presenter

Pete is a travel presenter for Channel 7’s Sydney Weekender, joining Mike Whitney 5.30pm Saturdays in sampling travel hotspots throughout NSW. He is an adventurer, having climbed the world’s 6th highest peak in Tibet, scaled Africa’s Kilimanjaro, and trekked camel-back through the Sahara. He is also an athlete, and just completed his second 46.5km Coolangatta Gold ironman race, finishing 8th in his category.

He is currently undergoing an intense multi-discipline training program in preparation for his climb of Mt Everest in 2010.

 

  Doug Lucas

  AGE: 33

Doug himself is no stranger to adventure, hiking in the Tasmanian wilderness and spending considerable time in the Lake Districts in North West England. Doug has also competed strongly in two Coolangatta Gold ironman events 2007 and 2008 as well as being a regular ocean ski competitor at races around Australia.

In 2004 Doug was named as the Australian Surf Lifesaver of the Year and is currently in his 3rd term as President of Long Reef SLSC located on the Sydney Northern Beaches.
