Tsartse
Pete's attempt at a world-first summit on this remote peak in Central Nepal last year would turn into an adventure of epic proportions. Climbing for Patagonia Australia and Australian Geographic, this adventure is being made into a documentary.
Mount Everest
Pete climbed to the summit of Mount Everest in 2010. The dangerous climb took 2 months, with frostbite and failing oxygen supply causing significant challenges. The documentary 'The Hill' captures the intensity of this extreme adventure.
Bass Strait
Pete paddled his surf ski across Bass Strait in 2012. In doing so he became the first to paddle a standard surf life saving 'spec' ski across these treacherous waters. The same ski later snapped in half in big seas off Sydney's northern beaches.
Cho Oyu
This was Pete's first attempt at an 8,000m peak, in 2005. He travelled across the Tibetan Plains to Mt Cho Oyu, where over the next month he climbed into the 'Death Zone' and summited the world's 6th highest mountain.
